Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the acceptable and prohibited uses of SwishTelecoms Canada broadband and VoIP services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Legal Use

You may not use SwishTelecoms services for any activity that violates Canadian federal or provincial law, including but not limited to fraud, harassment, unauthorized access, or distribution of illegal content under the Criminal Code of Canada.

2. Network Integrity & Security

Users must not interfere with the security, stability, or performance of the network. Prohibited activities include malware distribution, denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated traffic, or attempting to access systems without authorization.

3. Fair Usage

Unlimited data is subject to fair usage and may not be used for:

SwishTelecoms may manage network traffic in accordance with CRTC Internet Traffic Management Practices (ITMP) guidelines.

4. Spam & Unsolicited Communications

Using SwishTelecoms services to send unsolicited or mass communications is prohibited. This includes email spam, SMS spam, robocalling, autodiallers, or any activity that violates Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

5. VoIP Misuse

VoIP services are intended for personal or approved business use. Users may not resell VoIP service, engage in fraudulent call activity, or use calling features in a way that degrades network performance or availability.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, traffic shaping, suspension, or termination of service. Refunds are not provided for services terminated due to policy violations. SwishTelecoms may investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with Canadian authorities when required.

7. Updates to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of SwishTelecoms services constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
